Tshidi Gardiner

Tshidi is a our Senior Veterinary Surgeon at Kingsteignton Vets & South Devon Veterinary Hospital. She graduated in 2003 at Ondertsepoort in Pretoria and moved to the UK from South Africa in 2004. She is Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience in almost all sectors of the veterinary industry. She holds a postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and holds an Award in Veterinary Leadership & Management( Mental Health). She is a Veterinary Wellness Coach, Speaker, Award Winning Wellbeing Educator and Trustee of Vets in Mind Charity that creates triage tools & assessments for veterinary professionals.

Tshidi is an elected member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). She is the current Chair of the RCVS Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Lead for Global Development. She is a passionate Burnout Prevention Advocate, supports Mental Ill Health initiatives within the veterinary community as a Mental Health First Aider. In her spare time she is a trainer for Active Ally-ship and STEM Ambassador speaking at schools & Colleges. 

Tshidi has a husband, two boys, a cat and enjoys walking her dog along the beach for much needed rest & recovery.
