Nazim is originally from Zambia where he grew up being around animals on his dad's farm in Lumbombo. After completing his veterinary training at University of Pretoria in South Africa he worked as a Locum in Zambia for a short while before coming over to the UK. He worked in Sutherland for 4 years, in Norfolk for 9 years, in Oxfordshire for 3 years. More recently Nazim joined us in April of 2018 after returning from working in the Channel Island for 15 months.
He has completed a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2006 and Small Animal Surgery in 2007 with the European School of Veterinary Postgraduates Studies (ESVPS). In 2017 he completed the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice CertAVP in Surgery at the University of Liverpool and is currently working towards a Designate Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics.
Although Nazim's main interests are in Small Animal Orthopaedics, he is a genuinely mixed practitioner having worked in with wildlife, horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, cats, rabbits and other exotics in practice.
Outside work he likes the outdoors and takes part in various activities such as running, mountain and road biking, kayaking, kite surfing, diving, sailing and swimming to mention a few.
